You know that if someone makes a full turn it is called a 360 and if someone does half of that it’s a 180. This is the same with angles. An angle that makes a full turn is a 360 degree angle, and you draw the angle as a full circle. For a 180, it folds out to make a straight line, so the angle looks like a semicircle.
On our graph, we want to find the angle measure of X. How do we find it? By looking at the angles and lines around it!
Look at the line that the points D, A, and F create. This is a 180 degree angle. If you drew a line through this straight line, the two angles created would equal 180 degrees!
In our case, however, we have three angles that appear to make up this 180 degree semicircle: 64, x, and 60. This means that 64+x+60=180. If we subtract 64 and 60, we will know what the angle measure of x is!
180-64-60=56
Therefore, x is 56 degrees.
