Answer: The answers is (A) m=-2,~~c=2.  and  (B)  m=-\dfrac{1}{2},~~c=1.

Step-by-step explanation: We are to select the slope and y-intercept of the linear function that is graphed to the left.

We know that the equation of a straight line in slope-intercept form is given by

y=mx+c,

where 'm' is the slope and 'c' is the y-intercept of the line.

Also, a straight line with a positive slope (m>0) rises from left to right whereas a line with a negative slope (m < 0) falls from right to left.

Option (A) is

m=-2,~~c=2.

Since 'm' is negative, so the function is graphed to the left.

Option (B) is

m=-\dfrac{1}{2},~~c=1.

Since 'm' is negative, so the function is graphed to the left.

Option (C) is

m=\dfrac{1}{2},~~c=2.

Since 'm' is positive, so the function is graphed to the right.

Option (D) is

m=2,~~c=1.

Since 'm' is positive, so the function is graphed to the right.

Thus, (A) and (B) are the correct options.

Sorry, I got a little confused with your question, but this will definitely help (I hope)
Y=mx+b
m=slope and b=y-intercept
This is just in case: y=range and x=domain(you don’t really need these though)...Best of luck to you:)

14. The answer is hundred-thousandths. The 2 is in the tenths place, the 0 is in the hundredths place, and then 5 is in the hundred thousandths place, etc etc.

15. The quarter and the penny. Like I said above, the hundredth’s place is the second number after the decimal.

Hope this helps xx

An astronomical unit (AU) is the average distance between Earth and the sun. One AU is equal to approximately 150,000,000 km. As
Dimas [21]

Using scientific notation, it is found that the measure of one astronomical unit in kilometers is 1.5 \times 10^8

A number in <em>scientific notation</em> is given by:

a \times 10^b

  • In which a \in [1, 10)
  • To realize the conversion from decimal to scientific notation, b is the number of decimal places the comma moves, being positive if to the left, negative if to the right.

In this problem, 1 AU = 150,000,000 km.

  • The comma has to move 8 places to the right, hence b = 8

Then, the measure is: 1.5 \times 10^8
