Question: Simplify the trigonometric expression secӨcosӨ.

For each of the three basic trig functions, (sin, cos, tan) there are three more which act as their reciprocals. (csc, sec, and cot respectively)

Reciprocals, of course, are flipped fractions. If you have some number x, the reciprocal can be expressed as \frac{1}x.

An important property of reciprocals is that if you mutliply them together they will cancel out--take \frac{4}7\times\frac{7}4 for example.

Since secӨ is literally defined as the reciprocal of cosӨ, it is evident that
\boxed{\sec\Theta\cos\Theta=1}

Triangle ABC is an equilateral triangle with side lengths labeled a, b, and c.
Butoxors [25]

Answer:

the answers are all bold below

Step-by-step explanation:

Triangle ABC is an equilateral triangle with side lengths labeled a, b, and c.

Triangle A B C is an equilateral triangle. The length of side A B is c, the length of B C is a, and the length of A C is b.

Trigonometric area formula: Area = One-half a b sine (C)

Which expressions represent the area of triangle ABC? Select three options.

a c sine (60 degrees)

One-half b c sine (60 degrees)

One-half a squared sine (60 degrees)

StartFraction a squared b sine (60 degrees) Over 2 EndFraction

StartFraction a b sine (60 degrees) Over 2 EndFraction

The following data show the weight, in ounces, of 10 different bags of candy:
LuckyWell [14K]
B) is correct; on average, each bag of candy has a weight that is 2.6 oz different than the mean weight of 5 oz.

To find the mean absolute deviation, we first find the mean. Find the sum of the data points and divide by the number of data points (without the outlier, 21, in it):
(10+3+7+3+4+6+10+1+2+4)/10 = 50/10 = 5

Now we find the difference between each data point and the mean, take its absolute value, and find their sum:
|10-5|+|3-5|+|7-5|+|3-5|+|4-5|+|6-5|+|10-5|+|1-5|+|2-5|+|4-5| =
5+2+2+2+1+1+5+4+3+1 = 26

We now divide this by the number of data points:
26/10 = 2.6

This is a measure of how much each bag of candy varies from the mean.
