The answers for the following questions is answered below.

  • Therefore the volume of a gas is 22.4 L
  • <u>Therefore the number of moles of oxygen are 2.37 moles</u>

Explanation:

1. Given:

no of molecules (n) = 6.023 × 10^{23}

volume of gas at STP conditions (V) =22.4 liters

To solve:

Volume of gas (v)

We know;

\frac{n}{N_{a} } =\frac{v}{V}

\frac{6.023 * 10^{23} }{6.023 * 10^{23} }  =\frac{v}{22.4}

1 × 22.4 = v

v =22.4 L

Therefore the volume of a gas is 22.4 L

2. Given:

volume of oxygen gas (v) = 53 L

Volume of gas at STP conditions (V) =22.4 L

To solve:

no of moles of oxygen gas

We know;

n =\frac{v}{V}

n =\frac{53}{22.4}

n =2.37 moles

<u>Therefore the number of moles of oxygen are 2.37 moles</u>

Suppose you made 40 atoms of Highlinium and it has a
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]

Answer:

After 6sec 5 atoms will be left.

Explanation:

Given data:

Total atoms of Highlinium = 40

Half life = 2 sec

Atoms left after 6sec = ?

Solution:

First of all we will calculate the number of half lives passes during 6sec.

Number of half lives = Time elapsed/ half life

Number of half lives = 6 sec / 2sec

Number of half lives = 3

Now we will calculate the number of atoms left

At time zero = 40 atoms

At 1st half life = 40 atoms/2 = 20 atoms

At 2nd half life = 20 atoms/2 = 10 atoms

At 3rd half life = 10 atoms / 2 = 5 atoms

Thus, after 6sec 5 atoms will be left.
