we do not know how much the price of a commodity is, but it has been reduced by 10% and now costs 20€. What was the starting pri
MrRissso [65]
I got 22 because if u do 20 multiplied by 10% that gives u 2 which u then add onto the 20 to get the starting price. 10% of 22 is 2 and then 22-2 = 20 (if u we’re doing it from the starting price)

TOPIC: Forming and Solving Equations (An equation must be included as well please)
Tatiana [17]
1) let both have x ,
so putting in eqn ;

4x+0.50 = 9x-3
5x=2.50
x=0.50

therefore both have 50 p in the beginning !!

2) let the number be x

so in eqn;

(x+18)/2=5x
x+18=10x
9x=18
x=2

so the number must be 2 !!

if you have still any problem, comment !!

Please solve, -8-2(7r+1)=-94
skelet666 [1.2K]

Answer:

r = 6

Step-by-step explanation:

Hello!

-8 - 2(7r + 1) = -94

Add 8 to both sides

-2(7r + 1) = -86

Divide both sides by -2

7r + 1 = 43

Subtract 1 from both sides

7r = 42

Divide both sides by 7

r = 6

Hope this Helps
