Stages of GAS

1: Alarm

Upon perceiving a stressor, the body reacts with a “fight-or-flight” response and the sympathetic nervous system is stimulated as the body’s resources are mobilized to meet the threat or danger.

2: Resistance

The body resists and compensates as the parasympathetic nervous system attempts to return many physiological functions to normal levels while body focuses resources against the stressor and remains on alert.

3: Exhaustion

If the stressor or stressors continue beyond the body’s capacity, the resources become exhausted and the body is susceptible to disease and death.

these are the 3 stages 1. Alarm 2. Resistance 3. Exhaustion

What are the benefits of including some types of fish and shellfish in one’s pregnancy diet, and why must other types of fish an
miv72 [106K]
Some consumption of fish needs to be cut back to about once a week or eliminated completely because some fish contain high amounts of mercury. That is obviously something you don't want to be consuming while pregnant and/or breastfeeding. Some benefits of fish could be the nutrients, and its a lot healthier than eating beef all the time. Hope this helps.

Can jumping up and down cause shaken baby syndrome
kotykmax [81]
Yes, one of my family members actually was getting pushed in a swing for about 6 hours or more, and he was a baby at the time, and somewhat now has a problem with his brain, so I would not recommend shaking a baby up and down, it will mess up there brain, now just doing it for a quick sec no, but if you keep on doing it for like mins to hours yes, it will mess up the babies brain.
