To find the difference you would need to make the denominator equal so I changed it to 15 and the difference would be 7/15

Before you can compare, you need to find common denominators. The common denominator of \frac{4}{5} and \frac{2}{3} is 15. So the fractions are now: \frac{12}{15} and \frac{5}{15}. Then subtract to find the difference:
\frac{12}{15} - \frac{5}{15} = \frac{7}{15} more cups of sugar are needed.

Hope that helps.

What's the area of a slice of pizza from a large pizza with radius 9 inches cut into 6 equal slices?
Alexxandr [17]

Solution:

<u>Step-1: Find the area of the pizza.</u>

  • Area of pizza = πr²
  • => πr² = π x 9 x 9
  • => 81π = Area of pizza

<u>Step-2: Find the area of the slice.</u>

  • = 81π/6 = Area of slice
  • => 27π/2 = 13.5π = Area of slice

  • Starting point of arrow is -6.
  • The arrow is travelling to wards left.
  • I.e the arrow is decreasing and x is decreasing.

Explain the two ways we can find the slope from an equation written in STANDARD FORM. Which way is more convenient and WHY?
Crank

Answer: Derivative or y = mx + b

Step-by-step explanation:

Take the m value from the standard form equation:

y = mx + b

Or, the second way, is to take the derivative of the function and plug in your x value for your slope.

The derivative of a linear function is very easy to take, so it boils to preference
