Step-by-step explanation:

m =  -  \frac{2}{3}  \\ ( - 10 ,\: 8) = (x_1,y_1)

y-y_1=m(x-x_1)

Plug in the values into the equation

y - 8 =  -  \frac{2}{3} (x - ( - 10)) \\ y - 8 =  -  \frac{2}{3}( x + 10) \\

y - 8 =  -  \frac{2}{3} x  -  \frac{20}{ 3 }  \\ y =  -  \frac{2}{3} x -  \frac{20}{3}  + 8 \\

y =  -  \frac{2}{3} x +  \frac{4}{3}

To solve for x-intercept , Arrange the values in

ax + by + c = 0

=

-  \frac{2}{3} x - y +  \frac{4}{3}  = 0

To find x-intercept .let y = 0 in the above equation

-  \frac{2}{3} x - y +  \frac{4}{3}  = 0 \\  -  \frac{2}{3} x - 0 +  \frac{4}{3}  = 0 \\

-  \frac{2}{3} x +  \frac{4}{3}  = 0 \\  -  \frac{2}{3} x =  -  \frac{4}{3}

Solve for x ;

x = 2

To find y intercept , let x = 0

and solve for y .

I hope it helps <3

y = mx + b

m = -²/₃ and line pases  through (-10, 8) so:

8 = -²/₃(-10) + b

8 = ²⁰/₃ + b

b = 8 - ²⁰/₃

b = 8 - 6²/₃

b = 1¹/₃

b = ⁴/₃

Slope Intercept Form:

<h3>                                    y = -²/₃x + ⁴/₃</h3>

x-intercept:

-²/₃x + ⁴/₃ = 0

-²/₃x =- ⁴/₃

x = - ⁴/₃ ÷(-²/₃)

x = 2

<h3>                                    (2, 0)</h3>

y-intercept:

y =  -²/₃•0+ ⁴/₃ =  ⁴/₃

<h3>                                    (0, ⁴/₃)         </h3>

Find the average rate of change of k(x)=5x–19 over the interval [<br> -<br> 14,<br> -<br> 4].
rusak2 [61]
The rate of change of a function can be modeled with the following expression:

\frac{\Delta{k{x)}}{\Delta{x}}

Where Δx is the change in x value, and Δk(x) is the corresponding change in k(x). We're given the two extremes of x, so we can calculate the change in x to be

\Delta{x}=-4-(-14)=10

To find the change in k(x), we can calculate the values of k(x) at x = -14 and x = -4 and find the difference between them:

k(-14)=5(-14)-19=-70-19=-89\\ k(-4)=5(-4)-19=-20-19=-39\\ \Delta{y}=k(-14)-k(-4)=-89-(-39)=-50

So, the rate of change for the function from x = -14 to x = -4 is

\frac{\Delta{y}}{\Delta{x}}= \frac{-50}{10}=-5

there are 9 different routese between citise A and B, and 8 different routes between cities B and C. How many different routese
Nookie1986 [14]

Answer:

72 routes

Step-by-step explanation:

The total number of routes from city A to C by way of city B is determined as the product of picking one out 9 routes from A to B by picking one out of 8 routes from city B to C:

n= \frac{9!}{(9-1)!} *\frac{8!}{(8-1)!} =9*8\\n=72\ routes

There are 72 different possible routes.
