The most important thing in this problem is understanding and then dividing the given units properly. The first thing that is given is that the CD makes 58 1/2 revolutions in 3/4 minutes. We have to first simplify the number of revolutions made by the CD. This will make the problem in hand very easy.
Number of revolutions made by the CD = 58 1/2
                                                               = 117/2
Then
The unit rate = (117/2)/(3/4)
                     = (117 * 4)/(2 * 3)
                     = (117 * 2)/3
                     = 39 * 2
                     78
So the unit rate is 78 revolutions per minute.

78 revolutions per minute 58.5 I divided it by 3 to get 19.5 Then multiplied 19.5 by 4 to get the amount of rotations in a minute

vovangra [49]

Roland’s Boat Tours will make more money if they sell more economy seats, hence the maximum profit is attained if they only sell the minimum deluxe seat which is 6

6*35+ 24*40 = 210+960= $1170

<em />

Given details

To make a complete tour, at least 1 economy seats

and 6 deluxe seats

Maximum passengers per tour = 30

<em />

<em>"Boat Tours makes $40 profit for each </em><em>economy</em><em> seat sold and $35 profit for each deluxe seat sold"</em>

<em> </em>Therefore, to maximise profit, he needs to take more of economy seats

Hence

Let a deluxe seat be x and economy seat be y

Maximise

6 x+ 24y = 30

The maximum profit from one tour is  = 6*35+ 24*40 = 210+960= $1170

Someone can help me Pleaseee
Morgarella [4.7K]

Answer:

a. Compressed f toward the x-axis, and then translated it left 4 units.

Step-by-step explanation:

General equation for this is:

 y = a√(x - h) + k

  • a is how much it's being compress or stretched
  • h is how much it's shifted in the x-direction
  • k is how much it's being shifted in the y-direction

We're given:

g(x) = 1/2√(x + 4)

g(x) = 1/2√(x - (-4))

My a-value is 1/2, so the original function f(x) is being compressed by 1/2 toward the x-axis.

My h value is -4 so it's being shifted by 4 units. It's shifted to the left because it's negative.

There is not k-value so nothing is shifted in the y-direction.

Step-by-step explanation:

y = log_2 x^2  \\  \therefore  y =  \frac{log x^2}{log2}\\ (By\:change\:of\:base\:law) \\ \\ \therefore  y =  \frac{2log x}{log2}\\\\ differentiating \: both \: side \: w \: r \: t \: x. \\ \\ \frac{dy}{dx}  = \frac{2}{log2}   \bigg(\frac{d}{dx} log x \bigg) \\  \\  \therefore \frac{dy}{dx}  = \frac{2}{log2}    \bigg( \frac{1} {x} \times \frac{d}{dx}  x \bigg) \\ \\  \therefore \frac{dy}{dx}  = \frac{2}{log2}    \bigg(\frac{1}{x} \times  1\bigg) \\ \\  \huge \red{ \boxed{\therefore \frac{dy}{dx}  = \frac{2}{xlog2}}}
