Before a star is born, the matter that will become the star exists as a interstelar gas and dust.  The stars are formed as a result of the forces:the force of gravity compresses atoms in the interstellar gas. Then the fusion reaction begins. During this fusion reaction the temperature gets extremely high and all the material evolves into a hot bright star.

A 1.10-kg particle moves in the xy plane with a velocity of v with arrow = (3.80 î − 4.10 ĵ) m/s. Determine the angular momentum
nirvana33 [79]

Answer:

15.961 kgm^2 / s along negative z axis

Explanation:

m = 1.10 kg,

v = (3.80 i - 4.10 j) m/s

r = (1.50 i + 2.20 j) m

The formula for the angular momentum is given by

\overrightarrow{L}=m (\overrightarrow{r}\times \overrightarrow{v})

\overrightarrow{L}=1.10 (1.50 i +2.20j)\times (3.80i-4.10j)

\overrightarrow{L}=-15.961 \hat{k}

Magnitude of angular momentum is 15.961 kgm^2 / s

Suppose a straight 1.60mm -diameter copper wire could just "float" horizontally in air because of the force due to the Earth's m
Lelechka [254]
Fb = Fg

ILB =  mg

IkB = 2pi (d/2)^2 g (density copper)

I = pi (0.0016/2)^2(9.8)(8.9x10^3)/(4.2x10-5) = 4175.38 A

Hope this helps

A vertical tube one meter long is open at the top. It is filled with 50 cm of water. If the velocity of sound is 344 m/s, what w
emmainna [20.7K]

Answer:

The fundamental resonance frequency is 172 Hz.

Explanation:

Given;

velocity of sound, v = 344 m/s

total length of tube, Lt = 1 m = 100 cm

height of water, hw = 50 cm

length of air column, L = Lt - hw = 100 cm - 50 cm = 50 cm

For a tube open at the top (closed pipe), the fundamental wavelength is given as;

Node to anti-node (N ---- A) : L = λ / 4

λ = 4L

λ = 4 (50 cm)

λ = 200 cm = 2 m

The fundamental resonance frequency is given by;

f_0 = \frac{v}{\lambda}\\\\f_0 = \frac{344}{2}\\\\f_0 = 172 \ Hz\\\\

Therefore, the fundamental resonance frequency is 172 Hz.
