I think the correct answer would be the second option. The primary causes of acid deposition are sulfur and nitrogen oxides. Acid deposition is a term used to describe precipitation that contains acidic substances.  Sulfur oxides and nitrogen oxides present in the atmosphere would interact with water vapor and would form acids namely sulfuric acid and nitric acid. These acids are soluble in water so that when precipitation happens, these acid would be dissolved into water falling into the ground. This would cause acid rain which is very detrimental to aquatic systems like streams, lakes and wetlands. Also, it would affect the pH balance of the groundwater.

Explain why beryllium is produced when potassium is heated with beryllium
Vladimir [108]

Explanation:

The more reactive element replaces less reactive element during chemical reaction.

Since, potassium is more reactive than beryllium. When potassium reacts with beryllium choride, it replaces beryllium and forms potassium chloride and produces beryllium.

How much heat is needed to raise the temperature of water with mass of 27.0 g at 20.0°C to 45.0°C?
ohaa [14]

Answer:

2835 J

Explanation:

Take the specific heat capacity of water as 4.2 J/ g°C.

Energy (heat) = mass x specific heat capacity x change in temperature

(E= mcΔT)

E = 27 x 4.2 x (45-20)

E = 2835 J

The density of water is 1 g/cm3. brent used the following method to convert 1 g/cm3 to kg/m3.
11111nata11111 [884]

Answer:

a) The wrong denominator for the equivalent fraction of kilograms to grams

b) The use of the scale factor of length rather than the scale factor of volume for the equivalent fraction of cubic centimeters to cubic meters

c) The arrival at the correct 1000 kg/m³ rather than 0.1 g/m³ based on the expression on the left of the equation

The density of water = 1 g/cm³

The given equation is presented as follows;

1 g/cm³ × 1 kg/(1000 kg) × 100 cm³/(1 m³) = 1000 kg/m³

The error in the conversion method are;

a) The conversion, 1 kg/(1,000 kg) has an error, the correct conversion is (1 kg)/1,000 g)

b) The volume conversion error, 100 cm³/(1 m³), the correct volume conversion is (100 cm)³/(1 m³) = 1,000,000 cm³/(1 m³)

c) The right of the equal to sign error; using the left side expression only, the (wrong) answer is 0.1 g/m³

The correct equation is presented as follows;

1 g/cm³ × 1 kg/(1000 g) × 1,000,000 cm³/(1 m³) = 1000 kg/m³

Explanation: hope this help.

What is the base metric unit for measuring volume?
uranmaximum [27]
I got this idk if it's correct: For measuring large distances, the kilometer (103 or 1000 meters) is often used. The basic unit of volume in the metric system is the liter (l). The most common derived unit is the milliliter (ml) (10-3 or 1/1000 of a liter). The volume of a milliliter is equal to the volume of a cube 1 centimeter per side.
