Answer:

The name is aluminium nitrate and the molar mass is 213 grams per mole

Explanation:

You have to considerer the atomic mass unit of each elements first

Al= 27 amu

N= 14 amu

O= 16 amu

Then you need to count every atom:

Al=1

N=3

O= 9

Finally, multiply by its atomic mass unit

Al= 1*27=27

N=3*14=42

O= 9*16=144

Add

213

The name would be aluminum nitrate. and the molar mass would be 213 because aluminum AMU (atomic mass unit) is 27 (26.98) plus NO3's AMU is 62 (62.004) and because there is 3 NO3's that is 186. 186 plus 27 is 213

What distinguishes effusion from diffision? How are these processes similar?
zvonat [6]

Answer:

In effusion, a substance escapes through a tiny pinhole, or other hole whereas diffusion is the spreading out of a substance within a dispersing medium.

Effusion and diffusion are similar in terms of rates and speeds.

Explanation:

According to effusion, if there is a small hole in a container, a gas will leak from it. So, in this process a substance escapes through a tiny pinhole, or other hole.

According to diffusion, the two solutions will reach the lowest possible concentration of both, if they are combined and not mixed. So, diffusion is the spreading out of a substance within a dispersing medium.

Effusion and diffusion are similar in terms of rates and speeds.

Answer:

4054 kcal of heat is released during complete combustion of 354 g of octane.

Explanation:

Heat of combustion of 1 mol of octane is 1.308\times 10^{3} kcal

Molar mass of octane = 114.23 g/mol

We know, no. of moles = (mass)/(molar mass)

So, 1.308\times 10^{3} kcal of heat is released during complete combustion of 114.23 g of octane.

So, amount of heat is released during complete combustion of 354 g of octane = (\frac{1.308\times 10^{3}}{114.23})\times 354  kcal = 4054 kcal

Hence 4054 kcal of heat is released during complete combustion of 354 g of octane.
