The solution is said the be homogenous, if it contains single phase. On other hand, heterogenous system contains, multiple phase.

In present case, when <span>alcohol and water are mixed with each other, it forms a single phase. Also, concentration is uniform through out. Hence, it is referred as homogeneous solution.

On other hand, </span>when oil and water are mixed with each other, it forms a two phase. Hence, it is referred as heterogeneous solution.

Polar nature of alcohol favors formation of homogeneous solution with water.

How many hydrogen atoms are in 5.10 mol of ammonium sulfide?
Drupady [299]

Answer:

2.46 × 10²⁵ atoms H

Explanation:

Avagadro's Number: 6.022 × 10²³

Step 1: Find formulas

Hydrogen - H

Ammonium Sulfide - (NH₄)₂S

Step 2: Use Dimensional Analysis

5.10 \hspace{3} mol \hspace{3} (NH_4)_2S(\frac{8 \hspace{3} mol \hspace{3} H}{1 \hspace{3} mol \hspace{3} (NH_4)_2S})(\frac{6.02(10)^{23} \hspace{3} atoms \hspace{3} H}{1 \hspace{3} mol \hspace{3} H} ) =

Step 3: Simplify

We have 3 sig figs.

2.45616 × 10²⁵ atoms H ≈ 2.46 × 10²⁵ atoms H

In the activity, click on the E∘cell and Keq quantities to observe how they are related. Use this relation to calculate Keq for
inessss [21]

Answer:

The standard cell potential of the reaction is 0.78 Volts.

Explanation:

Cu^{2+}(aq)+Fe(s)\rightarrow Cu(s)+Fe^{2+}(aq)

Reduction at cathode :

Cu^+(aq)+2e^-\rightarrow Cu(s)

Reduction potential of  Cu^{2+} to Cu=E^o_{1}=0.34 V

Oxidation at anode:

Fe(s)\rightarrow Fe^{2+}(aq)+2e^-

Reduction potential of  Fe^{2+} to Fe=E^o_{2}=-0.44 V

To calculate the E^o_{cell} of the reaction, we use the equation:

E^o_{cell}=E^o_{red,cathode}-E^o_{red,anode}

Putting values in above equation, we get:

E^o_{cell}=0.34V -(-0.44 V)=0.78 V

The standard cell potential of the reaction is 0.78 Volts.

PLEASE HELP MEEEEEEE
Sliva [168]
Amount of copper= mass / molar mass = 17/64=0.2656
According to the balance equation, amount of hydrogen gas : amount of copper = 1:1
Therefore amount of hydrogen gas is 1:1
Thus mass of hydrogen gas is molar mass x mol= 1 x 0.2656= 0.266g
