Because iron is a metallic solid and it takes longer to heat up because it is compounded more then other solids which takes longer because the atoms in the heat take longer to heat it up.

Visible light has an average wavelength of 550 nm. How much energy would be in this wavelength of light? 5 x 10-19
beks73 [17]

Answer:

E = 3.6×10⁻¹⁹ J

Explanation:

Given data:

Wavelength = 550 nm  (550 ×10⁻⁹ nm)

Energy of wave = ?

Solution:

Formula:

E = h c/λ

c = 3×10⁸ m/s

h = 6.63×10⁻³⁴ Js

Now we will put the values in formula.

E = 6.63×10⁻³⁴ Js × 3×10⁸ m/s /550 ×10⁻⁹ nm

E = 19.89×10⁻²⁶ J.m /550 ×10⁻⁹ nm

E = 0.036×10⁻¹⁷ J

E = 3.6×10⁻¹⁹ J

What are the four characteristics of a mineral?
Damm [24]
The 4 major characteristics of a mineral are: -It is formed by natural processes- not man made -It is inorganic- it's not alive, it never will be -It is a crystalline solid- a definite volume and shape with a repeating structure -It can be an element or compound with a definite chemical composition- made the same each time w/ and orderly arrangement of atoms Also, another answer might <span>be: -Texture -Hardness -Luster or shine -Color/streak Hope that helps</span>

prohojiy [21]

Explanation:

A point of temperature at which both solid and liquid state of a substance remains in equilibrium without any change in temperature then this temperature is known as melting point.

For example, melting point of water is 0 ^{o}C. So, at this temperature solid state of water and liquid state are present in equilibrium with each other.

Therefore, when a 100 g of given pure metal in solid state is heated at its exact melting point which is 215^{o}C then some of the solid will change into liquid state but the temperature will remains the same.

I'LL MARK U BRAINLIEST-How many kW does a nuclear power plant use in a year?
Lisa [10]

Answer:

Nuclear power comes from nuclear fission

Nuclear power plants use heat produced during nuclear fission to heat water. In nuclear fission, atoms are split apart to form smaller atoms, releasing energy. Fission takes place inside the reactor of a nuclear power plan
