A block of aluminum at a temperature of T1 = 32 degrees C has a mass of m1 = 12 kg. It is brought into contact with another bloc

k of aluminum with a mass of m2 = 0.5m1, at a temperature of T2 = 9 degrees C. This aluminum has a heat capacity of c = 899 J/kg K.

Answer:T=21.33 ^{\circ}

Explanation:

Given

mass of First Block m_1=12 kg

Temperature T_1=32^{\circ}

mass of second block m_2=0.5 m_1=6 kg

Temperature T_2=9^{\circ}

Heat capacity of aluminium c=899 J/kg-K

Final Temperature acquired by both blocks at steady state

Heat loss first block =Heat gain by second block

m_1\times c\times (32-T)=m_2\times c\times (T-9)

12\times 899\times (32-T)=6\times 899\times (T-9)

2\times 32=3T

T=\frac{64}{3}=21.33 ^{\circ}

Light could be thought of as a stream of tiny particles discharged by _______ objects that travel in straight paths. *
Gelneren [198K]

Answer: Light could be thought of as a stream of tiny particles discharged by luminous objects that travel in straight paths.

Explanation:

We can define "radiation" as the transmision of energy trough waves or particles.

Particularly, light is a form of electromagnetic radiation, so the "tiny particles" of light are discharged by a radiating object, particularly we can be more explicit and call it a luminous object, in this way we are being specific about the nature of the radiation of the object.

A cart is pulled by a force of 250 N at an angle of 35° above the horizontal. The cart accelerates at 1.4 m/s2. The free-body di
Pachacha [2.7K]

Answer:

m=146.277kg which is rounded to 146kg

Explanation:

Remember that F=ma

But F represents not 250N, but 250cos(35)N since the force is being pulled above the horizontal.

So 250cos(35)=204.7880111 approximately, and since a=1.4m/s^2, we have 204.7880111=m(1.4m/s^2). Then we divide both sides by the acceleration to get the mass. So m=146.2771508kg which the nearest number is 146kg

Mass is always in kg, unless stated otherwise.

A train travels 200km/hr. how much distance will the train be from the station in 2.5 hours?
SCORPION-xisa [38]

Answer:

500km

Explanation:

Given parameters:

Speed  = 200km/hr

Time taken  = 2.5hrs

Unknown:

Distance  = ?

Solution:

To solve this problem, we use the speed, time and distance equation.

   Therefore;

  Distance  = Speed x time

So;

  Distance  = 200 x 2.5  = 500km
