If you are looking for the sales tax then you take 89.75 times .075 this will give you 6.73 now you just add 6.73 to 89.75 and you get..

sales tax = $96.48

but if you are looking for the %off you are going to do 89.75 minus 6.73 and you will get....

%off= $83.02

* One endpoint of a line segment has coordinates represented by (x + 2, 5y): The midpoint of the line segment is (6, –3).
kirill [66]

Answer:

m =  \frac{y2 - y1}{x2 - x1}  \\  =   \frac{ - 3 - 5y}{6 - (x + 2)}  \\  =  \frac{ - 3 - 5y}{6 - x - 2}  \\  m = \frac{ - 3 - 5y}{4 - x}

Write an equation of the line that passes through (−2, −1) and is<br> perpendicular to 2y =3x−5.
marusya05 [52]

Answer:

y = 2/3x - 1

Step-by-step explanation:

Find the slope:

2y = 3x - 5

2/2y = 3/2x - 5/2

y = 3/2x - 5/2

Slope is 3/2

In order for a line to be perpendicular the slope in the equation should be flipped. 3/2 becomes 2/3.

Perpendicular equation:

y = 2/3x + b

b is going to be equal to the y intercept of the point they gave us, so -1.

Answer: y = 2/3x - 1

Expand and simplify (2x−12)^2. Is this a special product?
Rom4ik [11]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

(2x−12)^2 can be factored into 2^2*(x - 6)^2, which in turn becomes

4(x^2 - 12x + 36).  Yes, this is a special product of the form

(a - b)^2 = a^2 - 2ab + b^2.
