Name three desirable traits that are being transferred into genetically engineered food crops how might these traits helped incr
____ [38]
The first desirable trait that is being engineered into our crops is sustainability. This means that crops are being bred to be able to grow in adverse conditions, ensuring the ability to sustain our food supply as humans. The second, are the alterations being genetically done to crops to eliminate the need for pesticides. By heightening the crops natural ability to eliminate and deter pests, there are higher yields and the elimination of pesticides seeping into and poisoning the human consumer. And, finally an ability to eliminate the need for traditional breeding in crops. By genetically replicating plants, we are eliminating the chance that the human race may "run out", of seeds, of starts, of the need for pollination. This basically ensures us an unlimited food supply, just in these three traits being bred into our crops.

Ling made a study chart for science class.
aliina [53]

Alyssa's additional observation would be cell Y having a larger vacuole than cell X. The third option is the correct one.

Plant cell vs animal cell

From the observations, both cells are eukaryotic. This is because:

 • cell X has lysosomes which are only found in eukaryotic cells
 • cell Y has a nucleus which also peculiar to eukaryotic cells only

Lysosome houses digestive enzymes and is found mostly in animal cells. Only a few plant cells have lysosomes.

Thus, the lack of a lysosome means that cell Y is a plant cell while the presence means that cell X is an animal cell.

Generally, plant cells have larger vacuoles than animal cells.

Describe how wind forms ocean waves in deep water and how these waves change as they develop in 6 sentences
bogdanovich [222]
Wind-driven waves are created by friction between wind and surface water. When wind blows across the surface of an ocean the continual disturbance creates a wave crest. These waves can be created through local winds or distant winds. The waves can be affected by wind speed and wind duration. The faster the wind and the longer it blows, the bigger the waves. It also can depend on how far the wind blows uninterrupted.

I hope this helps :)
