Answer:

the volume of 2.50 g of water at 40C is 2.52 ml

Explanation:

<u>Given:</u>

Density of water at 40 C = 0.992 g/ml

Mass of water = 2.50 g

<u>To determine:</u>

The volume of water

<u>Formula:</u>

Density of a substance is the mass occupied by the substance in a given volume

Density = \frac{Mass}{Volume} \\\\Volume = \frac{Mass}{Density} =\frac{2.50g}{0.992 g/ml} = 2.52 ml

To calculate for the volume of a substance, simply get the ratio of the mass and density. That is:

Volume = mass / density

Therefore by substitution:

Volume = 2.50 g / (0.992 g / mL)

<span>Volume = 2.52 mL</span>

Answer:

The pressure is 16, 9 atm

Explanation:

We use the formula PV=nRT. The temperature in Kelvis is: 273 + 25 = 298K

PV=nRT  P =(nRT)/V

P= (0, 450 mol x 0,082 l atm/K mol x 298)/0,650 l= 16, 91723077atm

What type of charge do metal ions develop in ionic compounds?
kirill115 [55]
The metal ion in an ionic compound will loose an electron becoming a cation. It will therefore develop a positive charge. The magnitude of the charge depends on the number of electrons lost. If one electron is lost the ion gains a +1 charge and of 2 is lost it gains a +2 charge ect.
