MgCl is an ionic compound that is formed between two ions Mg⁺ and Cl⁻. An ionic bond is formed between two elements when there is an even gaining or losing of electrons in order for them both to be stable. <em>The Mg⁺ during the process of bonding donates or loses 1 electron which is accepted by the Cl</em>⁻<em>.</em>

How many moles are in 3.86 x 1023 molecules of Carbon Dioxide (CO2)?
Yuri [45]

Answer:

<h2>0.64 moles </h2>

Explanation:

To find the number of moles in a substance given it's number of entities we use the formula

n =  \frac{N}{L}

where n is the number of moles

N is the number of entities

L is the Avogadro's constant which is

6.02 × 10²³ entities

From the question we have

n =  \frac{3.86 \times {10}^{23} }{6.02 \times  {10}^{23} }  =  \frac{3.86}{6.02}  \\  = 0.641196...

We have the final answer as

<h3>0.64 moles</h3>

Hope this helps you

Given the reaction
pychu [463]

Answer:

240.17 g Ba3(PO4)2

Explanation:

1. Determine the limiting reactant.

2H3PO4 + 3Ba(OH)2 --> Ba3(PO4)2 + 6H2O

moles H3PO4 = M x V = 3 x 0.286 = .858 moles H3PO4

moles Ba(OH)2 = M x V = 1.4 x 0.855 = 1.197 moles Ba(OH)2

ratio Ba(OH)2 : H3PO4 = 1.197: .858 = 1.39: 1

stoichiometric ratio Ba(OH)2 : H3PO4  = 3:2

Ba(OH)2is the limiting reactant

MM Ba3(PO4)2 = 601.92 g/mol

g Ba3(PO4)2 = moles Ba(OH)2 x(1 mol Ba3(PO4)2/3 moles Ba(OH)2) x (MM Ba3(PO4)2/ 1mol Ba3(PO4)2) = 1.197 x 1/3 x 601.92 = 240.17 g Ba3(PO4)2
