Tom ate 1/4 pizza, so that left him with 3/4 pizza.

Now that 3/4 is divided into 1/12 , so now he got 3/4  : 1/12
 = 9 slices of 1/12 pizzas , or 9/12 of the original pizzas

Now it remained 1/6 or 2/12 of the original pizzas.

which mean, the amount of friends that got pizza are : 9 - 2 = 7 friends

hope this helps

A rectangle has a length that is twice the width if the perimeter of the rectangle is 96 inches, what is the area of the rectang
S_A_V [24]

Answer:

Step-by-step explanation:

Let the width of the rectangle  = x

Length = 2x

Perimeter = 96 inches

2 * ( length + width) = 96

2 * ( 2x + x ) = 96

2 * 3x = 96

3x = 96/2 = 48

3x = 48

x = 48/3

x = 16 inches

Width = 16 inches

Length = 2*16 = 32 inches

Area = length*width

= 32*16

=      512 sq.cm

Find three positive consecutive integers such that the product of the smallest and the largest is 17 more than three times the m
trapecia [35]
There are two answers to this question
the first possible answer is 5, 6, and 7 and the second possible answer is -4, -3, and -2

Step-by-step explanation:

let the three numbers be (x-1), x, and (x+1)
the product of the smallest and largest number is 17 more than 3 times the middle number, or
(x-1)(x+1) = 3x+17, or
x^2-1 = 3+17, or
x^2-3x-18 = 0
(x-6)(x+3) = 0
So x = 6 or -3
Then just subtract one and add one to get the other integers. the three numbers are 5, 6, and 7 or -4, -3, and -2
