Volume is amount of space a 3-dimensional takes up or can contain. If the box was full of water, find the volume of the box using

Volume = Length x Width x Height

if the measurements are in inches your answer should be in inches cubed (in^3)

GaryK [48]

Answer:

Part of that kinetic energy created by moving of particles in object is transformed to heat that can be measured by thermometer.

Explanation:

By moving object creates kinematic energy, that is true. In object itself small particles are moving and creating kinetic energy as well. Part of that kinetic energy created by moving of particles in object is transformed to heat that can be measured by thermometer.

Same thing is that when you run or exercise your body temperature is raising(because of moving ).

When you sit your body does not raise temperature.

Olivia wants to find out whether a substance will fluoresce. She says she should put it in a microwave oven. Do you agree with h
kompoz [17]

Answer:

In disagreement

Explanation:

Fluorescence can be defined as the phenomenon by which an object emits visible light when placed in front of ultraviolet light. In fluorescence, the absorbed light increases the energy band of the electrons, causing them to go into a more excited state. The electrons, before they release the absorbed energy in the form of light, lose a part of the energy due to the vibration of the molecules. When they return to their initial state, the electrons will emit light.

While microwaves are electromagnetic waves whose frequency is high, and are used for the transmission of high-speed telegraphic signals and for the communication of satellites and do not emit light.

The heat transferred by room heater to the room is an example of convection heat flow.

Answer: Option D

Explanation:

It is known that heat or thermal energy generally flows from high temperature to low temperature. Heat can be transferred in four ways. They are conduction, convection, radiation and electro-magnetic waves. So, in the present case, if we are turning on the heater highers the temperature of the room, we need to use room heaters. And generally room heaters utilize convection technology to flow the heat energy.

In convection mode of heat flow, the heat energy generated at the source i.e., in the coils of the room heater is made to flow away from the source using the fan or radiator kind of thing. So, this process of transfer of heat energy from the point of generation by making the heat flow or rise is termed as convection. And thus, convection is the best example which is used in room heater.
