15,000J/.15% = 100,000 J

If you want to check,
Multiply 100,000 by .15 and you get 15,000 J

Answer:100,000Joules

Explanation:

Efficiency of machines is the ratio of work done by machine (work output) to the work put in the machine (work input)

Efficiency = Work output/Work input

Given efficiency = 15%

Work output = 15,000Joules

Work Input = ?

Substituting in the formula of efficiency

15% = 15,000/Work Input

15/100 = 15,000/Work Input

15× Work input = 15,000×100

15 × Work input = 1,500,000

Work input = 1,500,000/15

Work input = 100,000Joules

How do valence electrons relate to the chemical reactions of an element?
11111nata11111 [884]
Valence electrons are required for certain bonding processes. Without them you cannot bond with certain elements. For example, carbon bonds really well with carbon because it has the same amount of valence electrons. However carbon would not bond well with uranium due to the massive differences in valence electrons. Hope this helps!

Please help...........................
Marianna [84]
Hi!

Neutrons are neutral, which means they don't exactly have an electrical charge. It's because of this neutral charge that it is represented with a '0'.

On the other hand, protons and electrons <em>do </em>have electrical charges. Electrons flow around the outside of the nucleus, with a negative charge.

Protons are stored in the nucleus with the neutrons, holding a positive charge.

Hopefully, this helps! =)

Which material is more closely related to the styrofoam? a. heat exchanger b. diffuser c. insulator d. electrical conductor
nirvana33 [79]

The material that is more closely related to the Styrofoam insulator.

Styrofoam is the term that is used for polystyrene foam in a trademark form. It is a petroleum-based plastic.

Keeping something warm includes the stopping of the transfer of heat from one object to another. This is how insulation works.

Styrofoam is an insulator, which means it'll help keep the heat from the environment out of your cooler. However, you'll still need cooling agents (like ice packs) to make the cooler cold in the first place.

Styrofoam is usually made mostly of air, which means it is a poor conductor of heat, but an excellent convector. It traps the air in small pockets, which blocks the flow of heat energy. This reduces both conduction and convection and makes Styrofoam a good insulator.

A mass of 0.250 kg is attached to a spring and undergoes simple harmonic oscillations with a period of 0.640 s. What is the forc
Paha777 [63]

The force constant of the spring is approximately 24.038 newtons per meter.

As we are talking about Simple Harmonic Motion. In this exercise we need to determine the Spring Constant (k), in newtons per meter, from the equation of the Period (T), in seconds, which is described below:

T = 2\pi\cdot \sqrt{\frac{m}{k} } (1)

Where m is the mass of the moving element, in kilograms.

If we know that T = 0.640\,s and m = 0.250\,kg, then the spring constant of the spring is:

0.640 = 2\pi\cdot \sqrt{\frac{0.250}{k} }

\sqrt{\frac{0.250}{k} } \approx 0.102

\frac{0.250}{k} \approx 0.0104

k \approx 24.038\,\frac{N}{m}

The force constant of the spring is approximately 24.038 newtons per meter.
