Answer:

The answer would be the option saying that the problem will be correct because she used the commutative property (b)

Step-by-step explanation:

Maya changed the order of the number of the expression. She did not used parenthesis to change the way she combined them. Got it right on Ed20

<u>Answer:</u>

The statement, Maya’s expression will generate the correct sum because of the associative property will describe the best.

<u>Solution: </u>

Maya’s expression will generate the correct sum because of the associative property.

Maya wrote the expression 3+5+4.5

As per commutative property of addition if we change the order still the sum will be same, which means (a + b) = (b + a)

Here also, (3 + 5) + 4.5 = 8+4.5 = 12.5

Again 3 + (5+4.5) = 3+9.5 = 12.5

As both the results are same, hence this is meeting the commutative property of addition.

The profit earned by selling a quantity of x + 2 of a product is given by the expression x4 − x3 − 24. What is the average profi
Agata [3.3K]

the profit is a polynomial function :
p(x) = x^4 − x^3 − 24
the average profit per unit of product sold is :
ap(x) = (x^4 − x^3 − 24)/(x+2)

now,
(-2) is an "obvious" zero of p(x)
therefore : p(x) is dividable by (x+2)
and
the long division of p(x) by (x+2) gives :

Answer:
ap(x) = x^3 - 3x^2 + 6x - 12

4x + 1/3 y 2 what is the value of the expression above when x = 2 and y = 3
GenaCL600 [577]
Hoi!

To solve this, first plug in the values for x and y.

x = 2, so anywhere you see x, put 2 in its place.

y = 3, so anywhere you see y, put 3 in its place.

4(2) +  \frac{1}{2}(3)

4 × 2 = 8

\frac{1}{2} × 3 = 1 \frac{1}{2}

8 +1 \frac{1}{2} = 9 \frac{1}{2}

9 \frac{1}{2} is your answer.
