The law of conservation of energy is that energy cannot be created nor destroyed, it can only be transferred(or passed on) from one object/organism to another. For example, when you play a sport, say soccer, you kick the ball. The energy from your body, specifically, your foot, is then transferred to the ball, so the ball moves. Same for baseball.
