Part A)

Impedance of the circuit is given by

z = \sqrt{(x_L - x_c)^2 + R^2}

z = \sqrt{(28 - 16)^2 + 0^2}

z = 12 ohm

Part b)

Now in order to find the current we will use ohm's law

V = i*z

110 = i * 12

i = 9.17 A

Part c)

Phase angle is defined as

\phi = tan^{-1}\frac{x_L - x_C}{R}

\phi = tan^{-1}\frac{12}{0}

\phi = 90 degree

Part d)

now power factor is defined as

cos\phi = \frac{R}{Z}

Power factor = 0

KatRina [158]

Answer:

v =3.41 m/s

Explanation:

given,

mass of block 1 = 6 Kg

mass of another block 2 = 4 Kg

coefficient of friction = 0.3

Assuming 6 Kg block is attached to the spring of spring constant 350 N/m

and distance between the two block is equal to 0.5 m

using formula

U = \dfrac{1}{2}kx^2

U = \dfrac{1}{2}\times 350 \times 0.5^2

   U = 43.75 J

using conservation of energy

 KE = U - f.d

where f is the frictional force acting

\dfrac{1}{2}mv^2 = 43.75- \mu m g d

\dfrac{1}{2}\times 6 \times v^2 = 43.75- 0.3\times 6 \times 9.8 \times 0.5

v= \sqrt{11.643}

       v =3.41 m/s

Hello! Please I need help on 1. (C) I dont know the formula to get the Total height using Mechanical Energy
inna [77]

Answer:

4.00m

Explanation:

at that instant where it is dropped all the mechanical energy is gpe which is 71.9

and the formula for gpe = mass (1.80) * height * gravitational field strength (i'm using 10 m/s2)

height of football stadium

= 71.9/[(1.80)(10)]

= 71.9/18.0

= 3.99444..

= 4.00 (3 sf)

kakasveta [241]

Answer:

Microwave: Radiation

Water: Conduction, convection & radiation.

Explanation:

  • When we heat a food using microwave then the water content of the food is only heated by the microwave.
  • Microwaves make the molecules of water vibrate frequently with a frequency closer to the frequency of microwaves and this increases the kinetic energy of the molecules which produces heat in the water molecules this heat then propagates to the whole food by conduction and convection, but the heat enters the food only via radiation.

Now when the food item is kept into warm water then the molecules closer to the food heat the food by conduction through direct energy transfer by lattice vibrations and when they become cooler than the mass of water all around then due to density difference they settle down and their place is occupied by warmer molecules around in the fluid leading to convection.

Radiation of energy from a mass occurs continuously irrespective of the medium present there. So the heat of water also enters the food by radiation of energy from the water molecules.
