There are 116,280 ways to select the officers.

Since order is important, we use permutations:

P(20,4)=\frac{20!}{(20-4)!}=\frac{20!}{16!}=116280

Which of the relations given by the following sets of ordered pairs is not a function?
-Dominant- [34]

Answer:

Hi, there your answer will be C.

Step-by-step explanation:

The reason why is because X(Input) can not be repeated the same

for example the coordiante( 1,3) and (1,4). See there are two ones which make them not function

Also, if you're having trouble with Functions and nonfunctions

REMEMBER THS

Function: X and y has to be separarte  and can't have the same X

NON-FUNCTION- WHEN X REPEATS ITSELF

Hope this helps :)

The first two steps in determining the solution set of the system of equations, y = -x2 + 4x + 12 and y=-3x + 24, algebraically
madreJ [45]

Answer:

(3, 15) and (4, 12)

Step-by-step explanation:

x2 - 7x+12 = 0 factors to (x - 4)(x - 3) = 0, and so x:  {3, 4}.

Since y= -3x + 24, y = 15 when x = 3 and y = 12 when x = 4.  The solutions are thus (3, 15) and (4, 12).  This is the third answer choice.

Which sets of ordered pairs are from linear functions? Select the TWO answers that apply. Group of answer choices {(0,1),(1,2),(
Karo-lina-s [1.5K]

Answer:

  • {(0,1),(1,2),(2,3),(3,4)}
  • {(0,4),(1,6),(3,10),(5,14)}

Step-by-step explanation:

When x-differences are the same, y-differences will be the same for a linear function. When they are not the same, they will be proportional for a linear function.

{(0,1),(1,2),(2,3),(3,4)} - x-differences are all the same; y-differences are all 1 (linear, y=x+1)

{(0,0),(1,1),(2,4),(3,9)} - x-differences are all the same; y-differences increase (this is a quadratic function: y=x^2)

{(1,1),(2,8),(3,27),(4,64)} - x-differences are all the same; y-differences increase (this is a cubic function: y=x^3)

{(0,4),(1,6),(3,10),(5,14)} - x-differences are 1, 2, 2; y-differences are 2, 4, 4, so are proportional to (double) the x-differences (linear; y=2x+4)
