Answer : The mass of nitroglycerin decompose is 604.1 grams.

Solution : Given,

Mass of H_2O = 120 g

Molar mass of H_2O = 18.0158 g/mole

Molar mass of C_3H_5(NO_3)_3 = 227.0995 g/mole

First we have to calculate the moles of H_2O.

\text{ Moles of }H_2O=\frac{\text{ Mass of }H_2O}{\text{ Molar mass of }H_2O}=\frac{120g}{18.0158g/mole}=6.66moles

Now we have to calculate the moles of C_3H_5(NO_3)_3

The balanced chemical reaction is,

4C_3H_5(NO_3)_3(l)\rightarrow 12CO_2(g)+6N_2(g)+10H_2O(g)+O_2(g)

From the balanced reaction we conclude that

As, 10 moles of H_2O produced from 4 moles of C_3H_5(NO_3)_3

So, 6.66 moles of H_2O produced from \frac{6.66}{10}\times 4=2.66 moles of C_3H_5(NO_3)_3

Now we have to calculate the mass of C_3H_5(NO_3)_3

\text{ Mass of }C_3H_5(NO_3)_3=\text{ Moles of }C_3H_5(NO_3)_3\times \text{ Molar mass of }C_3H_5(NO_3)_3

\text{ Mass of }C_3H_5(NO_3)_3=(2.66moles)\times (227.0995g/mole)=604.1g

Therefore, the mass of nitroglycerin decompose is 604.1 grams.

Hich formula can be used to calculate the molar mass of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2)? (5 points)
mina [271]

Answer:

which formula can be used to calculate the molar mass of hydrogen peroxide (H2O2)?

» <u>d.2 x molar mass of H + 2 x molar mass of O</u>

Explanation:

Since we've two hydrogen atoms and two oxygen atoms, we multiply each mass by 2

= (2 \times hydrogen) + (2 \times oxygen) \\  = (2 \times 1) + (2 \times 16) \\  = 2 + 32 \\  = 34 \: g

Which of the following statements best defines the actual yield of a reaction?

»<u> </u><u>d.The ratio of measured yield over stoichiometric yield</u>

At 2000 ∘C the equilibrium constant for the reaction 2NO(g)⇌N2(g)+O2(g) is Kc=2.4×103. If the initial concentration of NO is 0.1
Rasek [7]

Answer:

[N_2]=0.0866M

Explanation:

Hello there!

In this case, in agreement to the chemical reaction, it is possible for us to figure out the equilibrium concentration of the N2 product, via an ICE table plugged in the equilibrium expression:

Kc=\frac{[N_2][O_2]}{[NO]^2}\\\\2.4x10^3=\frac{x*x}{(0.175-2x)^2}

In such a way, when solving for x via quadratic equation or just a solver, it is possible to obtain:

x_1=0.0866M\\\\x_2=0.0884M

In such a way, since the root 0.0884 M produce a negative concentration of NO (0.175-2*0.0884=-0.0018M), we infer that the correct root is 0.0866 M; therefore, the concentration of N2 at equilibrium is equal to x:

[N_2]=x=0.0866M

Best regards!
