What is the length of the altitude of the equilateral triangle below?
Mice21 [21]
B. 3 √3

The shortcuts for a 30 60 90 triangle is that the:

Hypotenuse is 2 times the short leg

The long leg is √3 times the short leg.

Making it 3 √3

Another way is by the Pythagorean Theorem.

a^2+b^2=c^2

3^2+b^2=6^2

9+b^2=36

Subtract 9 from both sides

b^2=27

Square root both sides

b=5.2 or the √27

√27 can be simplified more

An equation that equals to 27 that has a perfect square is 9*3

√9* √3

The perfect square of 9 equals to 3

So 3 √3

What is the quotient
mario62 [17]

Answer:

The quotient is 3x - 11 + 60/(x + 5) ⇒ 2nd answer

Step-by-step explanation:

* We will use the long division to solve the problem

- The dividend is 3x² + 4x + 5

- The divisor is x + 5

- The quotient is the answer of the division

- If the divisor not a factor of a dividend, the quotient has

  a remainder

* Lets solve the problem

- At first divide the first term in the dividend by the first term in

 the divisor

∵ 3x² ÷ x = 3x

- Multiply the divisor by 3x

∴ 3x (x + 5) = 3x² + 15x

-Subtract this expression from the dividend

∴ 3x² + 4x + 5 - (3x² + 15x) = 3x² + 4x + 5 - 3x² - 15x = -11x + 5

- Divide the first term -11x in the new dividend by the first

 term x in the divisor

∴ -11x ÷ x = -11

- Multiply the divisor by -11

∴ -11(x + 5) = -11x - 55

-Subtract this expression from the new dividend

∴ -11x + 5 - (-11x - 55) = -11x + 5 + 11x + 55 = 60

∴ The quotient is 3x - 11 with remainder = 60

* The quotient is 3x - 11 + 60/(x + 5)

Hey user!!!

given the radius of the cylindrical mold is 2 inches and height is 3 inches.

volume of the cylindrical mold = πr²h

= 3.14 × 2 × 2 × 3

= 37.68 in³

radius of the spherical mold is given = 2 inches

volume of the spherical mold = 4/3πr³

= 4/3 × 3.14 × 2 × 2 × 2

= 100.48/3 in³

difference between the amount of wax needed = 37.68/1 - 100.48/3

= ( 113.04 - 100.48 ) / 3

= 12.56/3

= 4.186...

so approximately 4.19 in³

hence, correct option is 4.19 in³

cheers!!!
