The nephron loop reabsorbs 25% of the water in the nephron. Reabsorption of water is a passive process, it takes place by the process of osmosis. In most of the nephron, water reabsorption is unregulated and coupled to solute reabsorption. The first that is responsible for water reabsorption is the proximal convoluted tubule.

in a 3-point cross, crossovers that occur during the formation of which gametes can be scored using the phenotype of f2 progeny?
JulsSmile [24]

In gametes generated by F1 tri-hybrids and gametes produced by parents from true-breeding populations.

When non-sister chromatids of homologous chromosomes exchange genetic material during meiosis, novel allelic combinations are created in the daughter cells. The locations of three genes in the genome of an organism are identified using a three-point cross. A homozygous recessive individual is crossed with a person who is heterozygous for three mutations, and the progeny's phenotypes are graded. When F1 progeny are self-pollinated, a 3:1 ratio of F2 progeny are created.

In a beetle species the red color is dominant over the white color. What is the genotype of any red beetle resulting from this s
Bad White [126]

Answer:

D. a red allele present on at least one of two homologous chromosomes;

D. unplanned ecosystem interactions

Explanation:

A dominant allele or trait would always mask the expression of a recessive trait when both are present in a pair. The only way a recessive trait can express itself is when it is in a homozygous state. Since red color is dominant over white color in the beetle species, the genotype of any red color species would have a red alelle present on at least one of two homologous chromosomes. For example, if red allele is represented by R and white allele is r, the genotype of a red nettle species would be RR or Rr.

In the second question concerning the most reason for concern that some scientists recommends caution be taken regarding genetically modified plants is that in the process of introducing new genes into a population, unforseen and unplanned disruption of the ecosystem may occur as a result of interaction with the ecosystem that these process and it's product may present.
