Answer:

178.98 sq. feet

Explanation:

The path and the garden has been shown in the figure below. The green area is the garden and the area in brown is the path.

It has been given that,

Radius of garden = 8 feet

So, the area of garden = 3.14 × 8 × 8 = 200.96 sq. feet

The total radius of the land including garden and path = 8 + 3 = 11 feet

So, the total are of land including garden and path = 3.14 × 11 × 11 = 379.94 sq. feet

So, the area of path = Total area of the land - area of garden

Area of path = 379.94 - 200.96 = 178.98 sq. feet

Put the list in chronological order (1–5).
Leokris [45]

Explanation:

Filtration is a separation technique in which solid particles suspended in liquid medium are separated by allowing the mixture through the pores of the filter paper. By this solid particles get collect on filter paper and liquid drains out from the pores of the filter paper.

The chronological order for given steps will be:

  1. Weigh and fold the filter paper.
  2. Place the filter paper in the funnel, then place the funnel in the Erlenmeyer flask.
  3. Allow the solid/liquid mixture to drain through the filter.
  4. Use water to rinse the filter paper containing the mixture.
  5. Weigh the dried filter paper and copper.

The men's world record for swimming 1500 m in a long course pool is 14 min 34.56 s. At this rate how many seconds would it take
vlabodo [156]
Distance = 1500m, time = 14min 34.56s = 14*60 + 34.56 = 874.56s

Speed = Distance / time = 1500/874.56 = 1.715 m/s

In order to swim 0.7 miles, 1 mile = 1609.344 m

Time = Distance / speed = 1609.344 m / 1.715 m/s = 938.393 seconds

938/60 = 15 minutes, 38 seconds.

= 15 minutes 38.393 seconds.
