Ans: The sign of the slope is negative

The free energy change (ΔG) is related to the equilibrium constant Kp as:

ΔG = -RTlnKp -------(1)

Also, ΔG = ΔH-TΔS ------(2)

therefore,

-RTlnKp = ΔH-TΔS

ln(Kp) = -ΔH/R(1/T) + ΔS/R

Thus, a plot of lnKp Vs 1/T will give a straight line with a negative slope such that:

Slope = -ΔH/R

Intercept = ΔS/R

What observations would lead you to believe that the ink is actually a mixture?
worty [1.4K]
When using filter paper chromatography to separate ink, one will observe that more colours are mixed into darker inks. The darker an ink is, the more the colours that will be separated out during chromatography process. Thus,  the observation that the darker the ink, the more colours are mixed into it will lead one to believe that ink is a mixture.

which periodic trend quantifies the amount of energy required to remove an electron from a neutral, gaseous atom? a) atomic radi
ahrayia [7]

Ionization energy is the energy needed to remove one electron from an atom in the gaseous state.

Ionization energy (IE) is the force needed to ionize a neutral atom or cation when it is in its gaseous state. Ionization potential is another name for IE. Ionization energy is conceptually defined as an element's affinity for its outermost electron (an electron it already has in its valence shell).

The least amount of energy needed to ionize an atom is needed to remove an electron from its ground state. Across the periodic table, there is a regular increase in ionization energy from top to bottom and left to right.

Is 2 C4H10 + 13 O2 → 8 CO2 + 10 H2O a double replacement?
natulia [17]

Answer:

The answer to your question is No, it is not.

Explanation:

Data

                C₄H₁₀  +  13O₂   ⇒   8CO₂ +  10H₂O

In a double replacement reaction, two reactants interchange cations an example of these reactions are neutralization reactions. In neutralization reactions, an acid and a base react to form a salt and water.

The reaction of this problem is not a double replacement reaction because the products are carbon dioxide and water, not a salt and water.

The reaction of this problem is a combustion reaction.

What information can a foliated metamorphic rock provide you about the conditions under which it formed?
Mnenie [13.5K]
A foliated rock forms when the minerals are realigned due to the presence of high temperature and pressure. The minerals align in such a way that the axes are directed to where the pressure was applied.
