Answer:

a.  \frac{1}{6}

b.  \frac{67}{450}

Step-by-step explanation:

Theoretical probability is what we expect to happen and experimental probability is what actually happens.

a. In theoretical probability, it doesn't matter what happened in the past. So basically we want to know the probability of rolling a 3 when a number cube is rolled.

There are 6 faces (from 1 to 6) in a number cube. And there is 1 "3". So the probabilty of rolling a 3 is:

1/6

b. In experimental probability, we need to know what happened before. When the cube was rolled 450 times, it came up "3", 67 times.

Hence the experimental probabilty of rolling a "3" is:

67/450

A scale factor of 1 will produce a congruent image
horsena [70]

Answer:

no factor of one

Step-by-step explanation:

If the scale factor is greater than 1, the image is an enlargement (a stretch). If the scale factor is between 0 and 1, the image is a reduction (a shrink). If the scale factor is 1, the figure and the image are congruent. The word "dilate" is often heard in relation to the human eye.

valentina_108 [34]

Step-by-step explanation:

\frac{5}{2}  =  \frac{x - 4}{3}

3 \times \frac{5}{2}  =  \frac{x - 4}{3}

\frac{3}{1}  \times  \frac{5}{2}  =  \frac{x - 4}{3}

cross multiplication

\frac{6 \times 5}{2}  =  \frac{x - 4}{3}

15 =  \frac{x - 4}{3}

15 \times 3 = x - 4

45 + 4 = x

49 = x

FromTheMoon [43]
There are 13 girls and 4 more students that are boys that made an A grade. Thus there are 13+4=17 students that are either girls or A students.

The probability of choosing a girl or A student is 17/30.
