A store offers a 15% discount on a skirt. If Bernice pays $40.80 for the skirt, what was the list price of the skirt before the
marusya05 [52]

The answer is B

If you multiply each price by .15 then subtract it  example below.

48.00 × .15 = 7.20

Then subtract that number to the price you will get how much the skirt cost after the discount.

48.00-7.20=40,80

Stephanie wants to make 22.5 qt. of a 20%
aivan3 [116]

Answer:

y = 10.5qt

x = 12 qt

Step-by-step explanation:

0.6x+ 0.36y = 22.5 * 0.2

0.06x + 0.36y = 4.5

x + y = 22.5

x = 22.5 - y

0.06(22.5 - y) + 0.36y = 4.5

1.35 - 0.06y + 0.36y = 4.5

0.3y = 4.5 - 1.35

0.3y = 3.15

y = 3.15 / 0.3

y = 10.5 qt

x = 22.5 - y

x = 22.5 - 10.5

x = 12 qt

Please Help Mee!!! Write equations for the lines shown.
abruzzese [7]
A. Blue: y = -3x + 8
Black: y = 3x + 2
B. You find the ordered pair (x, y) that is a solution for both functions ( find the point where the two lines cross)
C. There’s two ways you can solve algebraically (using the equations); substitution and elimination. I don’t know which you need to use to answer but feel free to use my notes on how to do substitution for help. I don’t really have any on elimination ( it’s so easy you don’t even really need notes) or I would use them to explain.
