Answer:

67.5π m²

Step-by-step explanation:

See the diagram given with the question.

The angle moved by the radius line about the center to cover the shaded region is 300°.

As the radius(r) is known to be 9 m.

So, the area of the full circle is πr² = π × (9)² = 81π m².

Now, to cover the whole circle the radius line has to rotate 360° about the center.

Hence, for rotation of 360° the area obtained is 81π m².

Then for rotation of 300° the area obtained will be \frac{81\pi \times 300}{360} = 67.5\pi m². (Answer)

Enter an equation that gives the cost y of renting a car for x days from Rent-All.
QveST [7]

The equation that gives the cost y of renting a car for x days from Rent-All is; y = mx + c

An equation model that gives the cost y of renting a car for x days from Rent-All is the standard slope-intercept form of the equation of a straight line.

The standard slope-intercept form of the equation of a straight line takes the form;

y = mx + c.

where;

- y is the cost of renting a car

- m is the rate of change of the cost y of renting a car per day

- c is a constant usually a flat rate for renting the car.

The equation that gives the cost y of renting a car for x days from Rent-All is;

y = mx + c

PS: The constant, c may be equal to zero. in some cases.

Sarita showed the steps to solving the equation. 5 (x minus 3) + 7 (x + 4) = 73 Steps Sarita's Solution Sarita's Verification 1
valentinak56 [21]

Answer:

Sarita’s solution is correct. She made an error in her verification. Sarita was supposed to add the 5 and 7 in the first step.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given the following equation:

The steps to solve it are:

5(x-3)+7(x+4)-73

1. Apply the Distributive property:

5x-15+7x+28=73

2. Add the like terms:

12x+13=73

3. Subtract5 13 from both sides of the equation:

12x+13-(13)=73-(13

12x=60

4. Divide both sides of the equation by 12:

12r/12 = 60/12

x = 5

To verify it, let's substitute  into the equation:

5(5-3)+7(5+4)=73

Evaluating, we get:

5(2)+7(9)=73

10+63=73

73=73

Based on this, we can determine that Sarita's solution is correct, but she made an error in her verification (Observe that 5-3 is not equal to -2 )

-10n + 24 + 24n = -6n + 24<br> Solve equation
Elanso [62]

Answer:

n=0

Step-by-step explanation:

-10n + 24 + 24n = -6n + 24 is the equation you are given

The first thing I did was combine like terms (-10n and 24n)

I should look like this... 14n+24=-6n+24

The second thing I did was add the 6n to 14n. Remember when you switch the sides of a number/letter in an equation the sign in front of it needs to change.

It should look like this... 20n+24=24

The third thing I did was take 24 and 24 and subtract them. You will get 0.

It should look like this... 20n=0

The last thing to do is divide 0 and 20. That will equal 0!

It should look like this... n=0

I hoped I helped. If you have any more question about his problem let me know! Good Luck. God Bless. Stay Safe. Max Larson

Why is it NOT necessary to use the words clockwise &amp; counterclockwise when describing a rotation of a 180° angle?
kenny6666 [7]
Because you could be rotating clockwise OR counterclockwise.

Hope that makes sense!!!

A polyhedron has 9 vertices and 16 edges. How many faces does it have?
geniusboy [140]

Answer: 9 faces

Step-by-step explanation:

In geometry, we use Euler's formula, and it looks like this:

V − E + F = 2

where

V= the number of vertices of a polyhedron

E= the number of edges of a polyhedron

F= the number of faces of a polyhedron.

V = 9

E = 16

F = ?

V − E + F = 2

9 - 16 + F = 2

F = 2 + 16 - 9

F = 9
