When a metal reacts with a salt, it displaces the metal present in the salt only if the metal has higher relative reactivity.
in this case , the displacing metal is same as the metal present in salt. both (being same metal)have same relative reactivity. hence, no displacement . NO reaction.

slega [8]

Answer:

295.96 K    (  = 22.81 degrees C)

Explanation:

PV = n RT    R = .082057 L-Atm / (K-Mol)     n = 3.5   P = 1 atm    V = 85 liters

(1)(85) = 3.5 (.082057)(T)

solve for T = 295.96 K

All matter is made of atoms. Which drawing shows the correct relationships between the three
mamaluj [8]

Answer:

This question is incomplete.

Explanation:

This question is incomplete. However, an atom (as shown in the attachment) is made up three main sub-parts/basic parts namely; protons, neutrons and electrons.

A proton is positively charged and it's found in the nucleus of the atom.

A neutron has no charge and is also found in the nucleus of the atom.

Both the proton and neutron contribute to the mass of an atom; hence the mass number of an atom is the addition of the neutrons and protons. The nucleus is located at the center of the atom (usually represented with a dot) and it's positively charged because it contains just the proton and the neutron.

An electron is negatively charged and it's found orbiting the nucleus of the atom.

NOTE: The atom in the attachment is that of a helium atom. There are two labels there; however, one of those labels (nucleus) is the standard representation for two basic parts of atom (protons and neutrons) as explained earlier.

Draw the Lewis structure of N₂O₄ and then choose the appropriate pair of hybridization states for the two central atoms. Your an
marissa [1.9K]

Answer:

See explanation

Explanation:

In this case, we have to keep in mind the valence electrons for each atom:

N => 5 electrons

O => 6 electrons

If the formula is N_2O_4, we will have in total:

(5*2)+(6*4)=34~electrons

Additionally, we have to remember that each atom must have 8 electrons. So, for oxygens 5 and 3 we will have 3 lone pairs and 1 bond (in total 8 electrons. For oxygens, 6 and 4 we will have 2 lone pairs and 2 bonds (in total 8 electrons) and for nitrogens 1 and 2 we will have 4 bonds (in total 8 electrons).

To find the hybridization, we have to count the atoms and the lone pairs around the nitrogen. We have 3 atoms and zero lone pairs. If we take into account the following rules:

Sp^3~=~4

Sp^2~=~3

Sp~=~2

With this in mind, the hybridization of nitrogen is Sp^2.

See figure 1

I hope it helps!

Which phrase describes the charge and mass of a neutron
Leona [35]
Neutron is a neutral particle which means it does not have electrical charge and it is responsible for approximately half of the mass of the atom, given that its mass is almost the same of the proton. The mass of a neutron is approximately 1.674 x 10^-27 kg

How to change 5 % W/V of NaCl to ppm , M ? molar mass = 58.5
please clear explain
11Alexandr11 [23.1K]

Answer:

50000ppm and 0.855M.

Explanation:

ppm is an unit of chemistry defined as the ratio between mg of solute (NaCl) and Liters of solution. Molarity, M, is the ratio between moles of NaCl and liters

A 5% (w/v) NaCl contains 5g of NaCl in 100mL of solution.

To solve the ppm of this solution we need to find the mg of NaCl and the L of solution:

mg NaCl:

5g * (1000mg / 1g) = 5000mg

L Solution:

100mL * (1L / 1000mL) = 0.100L

ppm:

5000mg / 0.100L = 50000ppm

To find molarity we need to obtain the moles of NaCl in 5g using its molar mass:

5g * (1mol / 58.5g) = 0.0855moles NaCl

Molarity:

0.0855mol NaCl / 0.100L = 0.855M
