You didn't have to put parentheses around your multiplication but if that helps you then go for it! Good work!

Your truck has a weight limit of 2100 pounds. A bag of cement weighs 75 pounds. Write an equality for x, the number of bags of c
Hitman42 [59]

You can haul 28 bags of cement.

Step-by-step explanation:

Given,

Weight limit of truck = 2100 pounds

Weight of each bag of cement = 75 pounds

Let,

x be the number of cement bags that you can haul

Weight of each bag * Number of bags = Weight limit

75x =  2100

Dividing both sides by 75

\frac{75x}{75}= \frac{2100}{75}\\x=28

You can haul 28 bags of cement.

Reposting becuase it want let me edit my last one and somebody spam answered it.
harkovskaia [24]

Answer:

5

5Step-by-step explanation:

If you use the distance formula you can solve it pretty easily. The distance formula is:

d = \sqrt{(x2 - x1)^2 + (y2 - y1)^2} \\

The two points you want are A and D. A is (-1, -4) and D is (3, -1). Plug that into the formula...

d = \sqrt{(3 - (-1))^2 + (-1 - (-4))^2}

d = \sqrt{4^2 + 3^2}

d = \sqrt{16 + 9}

d = \sqrt{25}

5

I can solve it in a different way if you want me to.

what property is illustrated by the statement 1×y=y? A. MULTIPLICATIVE IDENTY B. COMMUTATIVE C. ASSOCIATIVE PROPERTY OF MULTIPIL
vesna_86 [32]

This has nothing to do with zero. It is not mentioned at all. If y = 0 then D would apply, but no such restriction is present. The answer is not D

There has to be 3 numbers multiplied together to use the associative properties of multiplication as in (2 * 3) * 5 = 2 * (3 * 5) . The order that we multiply does not matter.

The commutative property could be true, and it is you second best answer (believe it or not) but, 1 * y = y * 1 is kind of trivial. So don't pick B until we find out about A

This often shows up 1 * x is the same thing as x. This is called the multiplicative identity.
