What is Newton's Law
r-ruslan [8.4K]
I hope you are referring to Newton's Laws of Motion by "Newton's Law".

There are three laws quoted by the great physicist of all time Sir Isaac Newton.

These laws are the building-blocks of the field of the Physics known as Classical Physics or Classical Mechanics.

Law 1. If no force applied externally, then a body in rest will always be in rest and a body in motion will continue to move in a straight line with a uniform velocity.

Law 2. The rate of change of momentum is directly proportional to the force applied and the direction of motion is always in the direction of the force applied.

Law 3. Every action has an equal and opposite reaction.

The Law 1 is also called the law of Inertia.

From the 2nd law, we can derive the equation of force, that is F =m.a (m = mass; a = acceleration)

Why is physics important to everyone? Describe 5 applications of physics in everyday life.
Sedaia [141]

1. Communication

In early ages people were using letters to communicate between them. Now days instantly we can call one person from anywhere, these are based on optical fiber communication and it is an application of physics.

2. Transportation

We can travel from place to anther place by aeroplane , these technologies are introduced after advancement in physics.

3. Construction

Earlier people used to stay in small houses, now days apartments with many number of storeys are built by considering all the forces coming on the structure.

4. Medical Department

The invention of many equipment increased the health of humans.

5. Weather forecasting

The prediction of weather considering all the available factors, prediction of natural disasters all are application of physics.

Which of the following statements is true?
Maurinko [17]

Answer:

Concrete absorbs visible light and re-radiates it as infrared energy.

Explanation:

As we know that concrete will not reflect 100% light incident on it but it will absorb few energy and remaining energy is reflected back.

So here when visible light incident on the concrete then few of its energy is absorbed by is and then the remaining energy is reflected back.

Since the reflected energy must be less than the energy which incident on the concrete so here we will say that the reflected waves must be of less frequency range

so here most appropriate energy range of reflected wave is infrared waves

so here correct answer will be

Concrete absorbs visible light and re-radiates it as infrared energy.
