Answer:

The diameter of the piston of the players equals 55.136 cm.

Explanation:

from the principle of transmission of pressure in a hydraulic lift  we have

\frac{F_{1}}{A_{1}}=\frac{F_{2}}{A_{1}}

Since the force in the question is the weight of the individuals thus upon putting the values in the above equation we get

\frac{57.0\times 9.81}{\frac{\pi \times (19.0)^{2}}{4}}=\frac{4\times 120\times 9.81}{\frac{\pi \times D_{2}^{2}}{4}}

Solving for D_{2} we get

D_{2}^{2}=\frac{4\times 120}{57}\times 19^{2}\\\\\therefore D_{2}=\sqrt{\frac{4\times 120}{57}}\times 19\\\\D_{2}=55.136cm

What is the formula for kinetic energy
Svetradugi [14.3K]
The equation for Kinetic Energy is KE = 1/2 m v^2, where m is the mass, and v is the velocity. The velocity in this equation is squared, which means that it is exponential. That means that as the velocity increases, you will be multiplying by a bigger and bigger number! KE = 18 joules!

A wave is produced in a rope. The wave has a speed of 33 m/s and a frequency of 22 Hz. What wavelength is produced? 0. 67 m 0. 7
vekshin1

Answer:

Wavelength = <u>1.5 m</u>

Explanation:

The formula for waves in terms of wavelength, speed and frequency is:

Speed (v) = Frequency (f) × Wavelength (λ)

33 = 22 × λ

33 = 22λ

λ = \frac{33}{22}

So, λ = 1.5 m

How much heat is released when 432 g of water cools down from 71'c to 18'c?
maria [59]
The heat released by the water when it cools down by a temperature difference \Delta T is
Q=mC_s \Delta T
where
m=432 g is the mass of the water
C_s = 4.18 J/g^{\circ}C is the specific heat capacity of water
\Delta T =71^{\circ}C-18^{\circ}C=53^{\circ} is the decrease of temperature of the water

Plugging the numbers into the equation, we find
Q=(432 g)(4.18 J/g^{\circ}C)(53^{\circ}C)=9.57 \cdot 10^4 J
and this is the amount of heat released by the water.

Describe and compare the rings of Saturn and Uranus, including their possible origins.
Marta_Voda [28]

Explanation:

Okay, well, Saturn's rings form a wide and complex system, consisting mostly of particles and pieces of ice, and are highly visible. They may have formed from one or more moons that broke up due to a collision, or are left over from early debris that never coalesced into a moon... And, The rings of Uranus are thin and hard to see, consisting mostly of chunks of carbon and hydrocarbons with very little reflectivity. They may also have formed from the breakup of a small moon due to a collision. They may be kept thin by the presence of shepherd moons.

Hope I helped !
