When using chlorine bleach, the proper amount for one gallon of water is 8 ounces, or one cup. Now, since there's 4 quarts in a gallon,divide the 8 ounces by 4. You get 2. So you should put 2 ounces (or 1/4 cup) of chlorine bleach in a quart of water. Hope this helps!

Which are causes of mechanical weathering? (check all that apply)
solmaris [256]

The correct answers are:

B. plant growth;

C. animal actions;

The mechanical weathering is a type of weathering where physical force is included into the breaking up of the rocks. The plants and the animals are both causing this type of weathering with their actions. The plants can cause mechanical weathering with their roots, as they grow and surround a rock, they are able to create such a pressure that they can break the rock apart. Also, as their trunks are getting bigger, if there's rocks right next to them, the pressure from the growing of the trunk will crack the rocks. The animals are able to move the rocks, as well as pushing them, or even deliberately throwing them, so they manage to break up parts of them and cause mechanical weathering.

myrzilka [38]

Answer:

A=8.7\times 10^{-7}m^{2}

Explanation:

We have given power =40 W but only 10% of this power is used so actual power P=\frac{40\times 10}{100}=4 W

We know that from Stefan's law p=\sigma AT^4 where \sigma is Boltzmann constant which value is 5.6\times 10^{-8}Wm^{-2}K^{-4}

So 4=5.67\times 10^{-8}\times A\times 3000^4

A=8.7\times 10^{-7}m^{2}

Momentum = (mass) x (velocity)

Original momentum before the hit =

                   (0.16 kg) x (38 m/s) this way <==

               =             6.08 kg-m/s  this way <==

Momentum after the hit =

                   (0.16) x (44 m/s) that way  ==>

               =           7.04 kg-m/s  that way ==>

Change in momentum = (6.08 + 7.04) =  13.12 kg-m/s  that way ==> .
-----------------------------------------------

Change in momentum = impulse.

                                   Impulse = (force) x (time the force lasted)

                          13.12 kg-m/s  = (force) x (0.002 sec)

  (13.12 kg-m/s) / (0.002 sec)  =  Force

             6,560 kg-m/s² = 6,560 Newtons  =  Force
