Explanation:

When chemical reactions change the chemical composition of a mineral then this process is known as chemical weathering.

In chemical weathering the particle become molecularly different from the original rock.

Chemical weathering occurs due to the process of dissolution or oxidation.

When chemical reactions does not change the chemical composition of a mineral then this process is known as mechanical weathering.

In mechanical weathering, the smaller particles molecularly remain similar to the original rock.

Mechanical weathering occurs due to the processes like frost-wedging and plant activity.

A piece of rock crumbles after being constantly thrashed by strong waves. Chemical weathering

Sliva [168]
 From the balanced equation:
4mol Fe will produce 2mol Fe2O3
Molar mass Fe = 55.847g/mol
16.7gFe = 16.7/55.847 = 0.3mol Fe
This will produce 0.15mol Fe2O3
Molar mass Fe2O3 = 159.6887 g/mol
0.15mol = 159.6887*0.15 = 23.95g Fe2O3 produced
Hope this helps

Do you expect the O---O bond in H2O2 to be longer or shorter than the O---O bond in O2?
melomori [17]

Answer : The O-O bond in H_2O_2 will be longer than the O-O bond in O_2.

Explanation :

In the H_2O_2, the two oxygen atoms are bonded by the single bond and in O_2, the two oxygen atoms are bonded by the double bond.

As we know, the bond strength of double bond is greater than the single bond.

And the relation between the bond strength and bond length is,

\text{ Bond strength}\propto \frac{1}{\text{ Bond length}}

That means the higher the strength, the shorter will be the bond length.

Hence, the bond length of single bond will be longer than the double bond.

The structure of given molecule is shown below.

Identify the balanced chemical equation that represents a combustion reaction. 2C 4H 10 + 13O 2 ⟶ 10H 2O + 8CO 2 C 4H 10 + 5O 2
kati45 [8]

Answer:

 2C₄H₁₀ + 13O₂ ⟶ 10H₂O + 8CO₂

Explanation:

 2C₄H₁₀ + 13O₂ ⟶ 10H₂O + 8CO₂ . . . . . balanced combustion reaction

 C₄H₁₀ + 5O₂ ⟶ 5H₂O + 4CO₂ . . . . not balanced

The two reactions involving Ca are not combustion reactions.
