Boyle’s law states that the volume of a gas varies inversely with applied pressure. A helium balloon has a volume of 22 cubic me

ters at sea level where the air pressure is 1 atmosphere. The balloon is released and rises to a point where the air pressure is only 0.8 atmosphere. What is the volume at this height in cubic meters?

Answer:

Volume, V₂ = 27.5 m³

Step-by-step explanation:

According to Boyle's law, the volume of a gas varies inversely with applied pressure.

i.e. V\propto\dfrac{1}{P}

or V_1P_1=V_2P_2

V₁ = 22 m³

P₁ = 1 atm

P₂ = 0.8 atm

We have to find V₂ as :

V_2=\dfrac{V_1P_1}{P_2}

V_2=\dfrac{22\ m^3\times 1\ atm}{0.8\ atm}

V_2=27.5\ m^3

Hence, the volume at the height is 27.5 m³

Boyle's Law
P1 • V1 = P2 • V2

Solving that for Volume

V2 = (1 • 22) / .8
V2 = 27.5

Calcula y comprueba las ecuaciones: porfavor alguienn la nesesito pliss a) 2X = 6 b) 10 + Z = 20 c) P + 9 = 11 d) 3X + 8 = + 29
Alexeev081 [22]

Answer:

a) x = 3

b) z = 10

c) p = 2

d) x = 7

e) u = 1

Step-by-step explanation:

a) 2x = 6

(2/2)x = 6/2

x = 3

Si remplazamos x en la ecuación original:

2(3)=6

6 = 6

Queda demostrado.

b) 10 + z = 20

10-10+z = 20-10

z = 10

Si remplazamos z en la ecuación original:

10 + 10=20

20 = 20

Queda demostrado.

c) p + 9 = 11

p + 9 - 9 = 11-9

p = 2

Si remplazamos p en la ecuación original:

2 + 9 = 11

11 = 11

Queda demostrado.

d) 3x + 8 = 29

3x+8-8 = 29-8

3x = 21

(3/3)x = 21/3

x = 7

Si remplazamos x en la ecuación original:

3(7) + 8 = 29

21 + 8 = 29

29 = 29

Queda demostrado

e) 2u + 8 = 10

2u+8-8 = 10-8

2x = 2

(2/2)x = 2/2

x = 1

Si remplazamos x en la ecuación original:

2(1) + 8 = 10

2 + 8 = 10

10 = 10

Queda demostrado

Write an algebraic equation to solve for the triangle’s height. Area of the triangle =36.8 inches . Height is x and base is 4.6
Minchanka [31]
The formula to find the Height of a triangle when you have the Area and the base is H = 2 * A/b
if the Area is 36.8 then divide it by 4.6. You get 8. put 36.8 in calculator first, then 4.6 = 8
2 x 8 = 16...so the answer should be 16 inches.
2 is in the formula to multiply to the number you get after dividing the base into the Area.

natita [175]

Answer:

Mass is both a property of a physical body and a measure of its resistance to acceleration when a net force is applied. An object's mass also determines the strength of its gravitational attraction to other bodies. The basic SI unit of mass is the kilogram.
