B⃗ is kept constant but the coil is rotated so that the magnetic field, B⃗ , is now in the plane of the coil. How will the magne

tic flux through the coil change as the rotation occurs? Check all that apply. View Available Hint(s) Check all that apply. The flux is unchanged because the magnitude of B⃗ is constant. The flux increases because the angle between B⃗ and the coil's axis changes. The flux decreases because the angle between B⃗ and the coil's axis changes. The flux is unchanged because the area of the coil is unchanged.

Answer:

The flux decreases because the angle between B⃗ and the coil's axis changes.

Explanation:

The flux through the coil is given by a dot product, between the magnetic field and the vector representing the area of the coil.

\Phi = \vec{B}\cdot \vec{S} = BScos(\theta)

The latter vector has direction perpendicular to the plane in which the area of the coil is, and magnitude equal to the area of the coil. As in the attached image, the vector S is the vector respresenting the area of the coil.

Therefore, the flux will be maximum when the vector S is in the same direction as B, and will be zero when they are perpendicular.

Now, if the coil is rotated so that the magnetic field is in the plane of the coil then, the vectors S and B are perpendicualr, and there will not be net magnetic flux, that is, the flux will decrease.

What could you do to change the volume of a gas?
denis23 [38]
There are a number of ways you can change the volume of a gas.

Temperature: if you heat the gas it rises causing a change volume because the electrons gain more thermal energy BUT if you cool the gas down it sinks decreasing the molecules (the opposite effect)

Pressure can also change a gases volume. high pressure forces the molecules together creating a solid (along with cold temperatures)

Hope this helps!

If a horse does 4000 J of work over 20 m, how much force does the horse use?
Eduardwww [97]
If you take a look at the definition of work, you will get this formula:

W=Fd \\ F= \frac{4000}{20} \\ \boxed {F=200~N}

Juri is tugging her wagon behind her on the way to... wherever her wagon needs to go. The wagon repair shop. She has a trek ahea
vitfil [10]

Answer:

W = 819152 J = 819.15 KJ

Explanation:

The work done by Juri can be given by the following formula:

W = FdCos\theta

where,

W = Work done = ?

F = Force = 200 N

d = distance = 5 km = 5000 m

θ = angle to horizontal = 35°

Therefore,

W = (200 N)(5000 m)Cos 35°

W = 819152 J = 819.15 KJ
