\\
\text{Given that a triangle with sides 40 feet, 50 feet, and 60 feet.}\\
\text{On a drawing, 1 inch = 10 feet}\\
\text{we need to find the length of the sides on the triangle on the drawing.}\\
\\
\text{observe that, 40 feet =4(10 feet) = 4(1 inch) = 4 inches}\\
\\
\text{similarly, for the side with 50 feet length, we have}\\
\\
50\text{ feet =  5(10 feet) = 5(1 inch)= 5 inches}\\
\\
\text{and similarly, 60 feet =6(10 feet) = 6(1 inch) = 6 inches}

hence the length of the sides of the triangle on the drawing are: 4 inches, 5 inches and 6 inches

What is the value of x in the equation 2x + 3y = 36, when y = 6?
amm1812

Answer:

9

Step-by-step explanation:

When plugging 6 in for y, you get

2x + 3(6) = 36

You have to multiply 3 and 6, getting

2x + 18 = 36.

Now, you subtract 18 from both sides to isolate the x variable, getting

2x = 18

Now, you divide 2 from both sides because we want x standing by itself, getting

x = 9

Therefore, your answer is 9.

Hope this helped

A swimming pool can be filled in 18 hours if water enters through a pipe alone, or in 25 hours if water enters through a hose a
pychu [463]
I am not sure, but this is what I got:
 <span>Pipe ALONE = 18 hours

Pipe ALONE in 1 hour = 1/18 of the pool

Hose ALONE in 1 hour = 1/25 of the pool

TOGETHER in 1 HOUR = 1/18 +1/25 = 43/450

TOGETHER they will fill the pool in 450/43 hours

So 5/6 of the pool will take 5/6 X 450/43 = 2250/ 258 = 8.7209302 hours OR

8 hours AND 43.26 minutes ANSWER

Which of the following represents the factorization of the trinomal below
Allisa [31]
I believe B. is your answer. If you use the ac method, you will multiply 8 and 3 which is 24. So now, what factors of 24 will give you 10?6 and 4

Now substitute

8 {x}^{2}  + 4x + 6x + 3
Now do factorization by grouping.

4x(2x + 1) + 3(2x + 1)
Therefore, your answer is (4x+3)2x+1)
