We  were given

a^2 +b^2 = c^2

Adding b^2 to both sides of the equation gives,

a^2=c^2-b^2

The Right  Hand Side  of the equation is a difference of two squares. So we can factor it as follows:

a^2= (c+b)(c-b)

Taking the square root of both sides we have,

a=\sqrt((c+b)(c-b))

First, subtract the term b^2 from the both sides of the equation to isolate a^2. Then, take the square root of both sides of the equation so "a" is completely isolated. And voila! You should have the simplified version of this formula.

Veronika [31]

Answer:

x = 35

Step-by-step explanation:

You have to make both equation equal to each other.

4x+7 = 6x -63

subtract 6x and 7 from both sides sides

-2x = -70

Jada saw a music video that her favorite artist recently posted online. The equation v(t) = 425 (5)^t represents the number of v
romanna [79]

Answer:

The result to v(-2) taking into account the given equation is:

  • <u>17 views</u>.

Step-by-step explanation:

To obtain the result to v(-2), you must understand that v(-2) means the number of views that the video had two days before Jada saw the video. Then, using the equation:

  • v(t) = 425 * (5)^t

And replacing it we have:

  • v(-2) = 425 * (5)^(-2)
  • v(-2) = 425 * 0.04
  • <u>v(-2) = 17</u>

As you can see with the calculations, <u><em>the number of views of the video two days before Jada saw it were 17</em></u>.

(Quadratics) find the maximum of -16x^2 + 64x +8
kykrilka [37]

Answer:

The max of this function is 72.

Step-by-step explanation:                                    -b

The x-coordinate of the vertex is given by x = ---------

                                                                               2(a)

which in this case is x = 2.

The value of -16x^2 + 64x +8 at x = 2 is f(2) = 72.

The max of this function is 72.
