5th grade math. Correct answer will be marked brainliest.
dybincka [34]

Answer:

Trevor read 157.5 pages this week.

Step-by-step explanation:

Simple multiplication.

Multiply 5 by 5 first to get 25, carry the 2 on top and then multiply 3 by 5 to get 15, make sure to add 2 to get 17.  The first line should be 175.

Put a 0 on the last digit to solve for the next digit.  Multiply 4 by 5 to get 20, carry the 2 on top and then multiply 3 by 4 to get 12, make sure to add 2 to get 14.  The second line should be 1400.

Add the numbers up to get 1575, since there is one number behind the decimal, you should put a decimal in front of the last 5 for the answer in which it is 157.5.

Proofs are used to show that a mathematical statement is true. The most common form of mathematical statements are if-then state
iragen [17]

Answer:

True mathematical statement.

"If x = 0, then for any real number y, we have: y*x = 0."

This is true, and we can prove it with the axioms of the real set.

A false mathematical statement can be:

"if n and x are integer numbers, then n/x is also an integer number."

And a counterexample of this is if we took n = 1 and x = 2, both are integer numbers, so the first part is true, but:

n/x = 1/2 = 0.5 is not an integer number, then the statement is false,
