In sexually reproduction, how many do the offspring compare to the parents?

In sexual reproduction the offspring has similar genetics and look of those of the parents. In asexual reproduction, it will look like the one parent, but it won't have the parent. The parent would have split in two and created two daughter cells, but when they make buds of them they have one child and on parent. Hope I helped! ;)

Using Le Châtelier’s Principle, explain why people suffering from carbon monoxide poisoning are given pure oxygen to breathe in
Bas_tet [7]

Answer:

See explanation

Explanation:

Carbon monoxide is toxic because it can successfully competes with oxygen for hemoglobin (Hb) sites according to the following equilibrium:

Hb(O₂)₄(aq) + 4CO(g) ⇄ Hb(CO)₄(aq) + 4O₂(g)

Based on LeChatelier’s Principle, CO poisoning can be reversed by applying O₂(g) to victim. This addition of O₂(g) increases system concentration of O₂(g) in the equilibrium reaction thereby overloading the product side of the equilibrium forcing it to shift to the left, decomposing the  carboxyhemoglobin (Hb(CO)₄) and releasing the CO(g) and combining with O₂(g) to form more Hb(O₂)₄.

An incompressible Newtonian fluid is brought to flow in a pipe by pulling a wire in the center at a velocity of 18 cm/s. The wir
weqwewe [10]

Answer:

The shear stress is 2.16 Pa

Explanation:

Newton's law of viscosity can be expressed as follows;

\tau =\mu \times \dfrac{dv}{dy}

Where:

τ = Shear stress in the fluid

Given that the diameter of the wire = 5 cm

The velocity of the wire = 18 cm/s

The diameter of the pipe = 10 cm

The fluid viscosity, μ = 3.0 cp = 1×10⁻³· Pa·s

The change in velocity from the surface of the wire to the internal surface of the pipe = dv = 18 cm/s

The change in the y (perpendicular) direction of motion of the fluid from the surface of the wire to the interior surface of the tube = dy = 10/2 - 5/2 = 2.5 cm

By putting in the values, we have;

\tau =0.3 \times \dfrac{18}{2.5} = 2.16 \ Pa

The shear stress = 2.16 Pa

For a second order reaction, if [A]^-1 is plotted vs. time, which corresponds to the slope of the plot?
victus00 [196]

For a second order reaction, if (A)^-1 is plotted vs. time is straight line with k= slope of the line,Plot the inverse of concentration of a reactnt verus time.

Second order reaction defined as chemical reactions which is the sum of the exponents in the rate of law of the chemical reaction is equal to two.The such reaction is written as the - r=k(A)2 or r= k(A)(B).

Second  order reaction is a type of reaction which is depend on the concentrations of one second order or two first order reactants.Reaction proceeds at rate proportional to the square of the product of the concentration of one reactant, or the product of the concentrations of two reactant.
