Many musical instruments use “boxes” as part of the instrument. Some examples are acoustic guitars and pianos. From your experie

nce in this lab on building your own musical instrument, write a brief essay on the purpose of these “boxes”. Include a brief description of a xylophone and what it uses for the purpose of the box.

Answer:

Explanation:

A box resonate the sound hence is used in musical instruments.

While vibrations are produced by musical instruments, frequencies are created which are more enhanced in a wooden box.

For example :  Xylophone is a musical instrument that consist of wooden bars struck by mallet.

Under each bar of the xylophone there is a there is a resonator tube which amplifies the sound.

So when the wooden bars are struck, xylophones produces sound and the pitch of the sound depends on the size of the bars. Longer the bar, the more longer sound will be resonating in it hence lower will be the pitch.

KI + Cl2 ---&gt; KCl + I2<br> Balance the single replacement chemical reaction.
snow_lady [41]

Answer:

2KI   +  Cl₂   →   2KCl     +    I₂

Explanation:

The reaction equation is given as:

        KI   +  Cl₂   →    KCl     +    I₂

The problem at hand is to balance this chemical reaction. To solve this problem we use a mathematical approach;

        aKI   +  bCl₂   →    cKCl     +    dI₂

 Conserving K : a = c

                     I :  a  = 2d

                   Cl : 2b = c

 Now let a = 1, c  = 1 , d  = \frac{1}{2}, b   = \frac{1}{2}, ;

   Multiply through by 2;

             a  = 2, b = 1 , c = 2, d  = 1

            2KI   +  Cl₂   →   2KCl     +    I₂

Give a qualitative description of the skydiver's motion after jumping out of the plane.
umka2103 [35]

Explanation:

They will have not much control over their speed or rotational energy. they will carry a lot of gravitation potential energy which will get converted to kinetic energy as they fall through the atmosphere. They will reach their terminal velocity, the fastest they can travel with earth's gravity before they pull their parachute, when they use a parachute to extend their surface area, increasing wind resistance. this allows them to land safely.

How much current is drawn by a television with a resistance of 30 ω that is connected across a potential difference of 120v?
melomori [17]

By using the Ohms law, we can calculate the current.

Ohms law,

 \frac{V}{I}  = R

Here, V is potential difference, and R is the resistance.

Given,  V=120 V and R = 30 ohm.

Therefore, putting the given values in above relation , we get

\frac{120V}{I} = 30 ohm

or          I=\frac{120}{30} = 4 A

Thus, the current is drawn by a television 4 Ampere
