7 gallons are left.
Since he goes 28 miles per gallon and he drives 140 miles, you divide 140 by 28 and get 5 (number of gallons he used) and subtract that number by the total number of gallons of fuel he had at the start of his trip giving you 7 gallons left. Hoped this helped
