The statement that is not applied to metals is  \boxed{{\text{C}}{\text{. Most metals are brittle}}}

Further Explanation:

Metals are the substances that have a lustrous appearance and are good conductors of heat and electricity. These can either be a chemical element or a molecular compound. The chemical element includes iron, aluminium, zinc while polymeric sulfur nitride is a molecular compound.

Types of metals:

1. Noble metals: These are pure metals that are non-reactive. Copper, platinum, gold and silver are examples of such class of metals.

2. Alkali metals: These are highly reactive and are present at the leftmost region of the periodic table. These have low melting points and are so soft that can be cut with a knife. Potassium and sodium are alkali metals.

3. Alkaline earth metals: These are present at the adjacent right position of the alkali metals but are less reactive than them. Calcium, barium and magnesium are such metals.

4. Transition metals: Metals with variable oxidation states. These are hard, shiny and easy to mould. Nickel, copper, and chromium are examples of these metals.

(A) Most metals are ductile

Ductility is the property of a material that is linked with its ability to be stretched into wires without breaking. Metals can be drawn into wires without breakage. Copper, gold, silver are metals that are highly ductile. So this statement is correct.

(B) Most metals are malleable

Malleability is the ability of the substance due to which it can be converted into thin sheets, either by hammering or by rolling. Aluminium foils are made from aluminium due to its malleable nature. So this statement is correct.

(C) Most metals are brittle

Any substance is said to be brittle if it breaks down easily when subjected to stress. But mostly all metals are hard enough to tolerate a large amount of stress. So this statement is incorrect.

(D) Mostly metals are good conductors of electric current

Electric current is the flow of electrons through any substance. The outermost electrons in metals are free to move and that’s why metals are good conductors of electric current. So this statement is correct.

Answer: statement (C) is incorrect.

Explanation:

Generally all the metals are very hard.

For example: Copper, iron etc. Except sodium and potassium which can be cut with knife.

Metals are ductile that is they can be drawn into wires fro examples: copper wire.

Metals are malleable that is they can be drawn into sheets for example: aluminium foil, gold foil etc.

Metals are good conductors of electricity for example: copper wiring is used in electrical appliances.
