This is because if the skin was able to do that then transferring of diseases and hormones would be very easy and chaotic. We know from intercourse that even using condoms and other methods during sex can potentially cause a transfer of disease. If this was the case with skin then just my touching hands you could have it transferred. Which would be absurd.
